morphogenus
Type species: Glyptolepis keuperiana Schimper, 1872 (by monotypy)

Ramuli lignosi sparsim el irrequlariter ramosi, areis rhomboidibus-oblongis sculpti ; foliis in spiris dispositis, aliquanto distantibus, in summitate ramulorum densioribus, circiter 9-26 mm . longis et ultra, ad basem 1-2 latis, anguste linearibus, subrigidis, saepe falcatis, base decurrentibus, uninerviis, nervio valido, dichotome unidiviso, sursum in duas lacinias (lnterdum, ut videtur, tres aut quattuor) anguste lineares in apice acutasque, profunde el acute sectis;
pagina superiore concava, inferiore convexa etiamque carinata
Ramuli liqnosi , foliati, 2-11 mm. lati et ultra ; foliis decurrentibus, anguste linearibus , uninerviis, subrigidis, acute et profunde sectis in duas lacinias, 9-26 mm. longis et ultra.

species
Holotype: CIRGEO Pb 521a-b.
Paratypes: CIRGEO Pb 541,548.
Main branch (of first order) unknown, branching dense. Branches of second order more than 12 cm long x 6 mm wide excluding leaves, showing transverse, lenticular to linear scars extending across at least half of branch width. Third order branches attached at 40-45° at intervals of about 4 cm, more than 13 cm long x 3 mm wide (excluding leaves). Branches of fourth order up to 8 cm x 2 mm excluding leaves, attached at 45°. Ultimate (fifth order) branches occasional, 2 cm x 15mm excluding leaves, disposed at very acute angles.
genus
Type species: Ferugliocladus riojanum Archangelsky & Cuneo, 1987.
Shoots branching up to fifth order, attached radially and irregularly at acute angles, straight to slightly curved, leafless or with helically disposed leaves. Leaves all of one kind, lanceolate, acute, with a single vein. Female cones compact, ovoid to subrounded, terminal; composed of simple bracts and free ovules or ovuliferous complexes (see p.5) attached helically to the cone axis. Presumed ovules or ovuliferous complexes axillary to subaxillary, ovules orthotropous with bifid apex.
species
Holotype: LP Pb 12003.
Paratypes: LP Pb 12004a-b, 12005a-b; CIRGEO Pb 540.
Branches of first (main) order leafless, up to 12 mm wide, with transverse lenticular scars 1-5 mm long placed closely or more distantly, never as wide as branch width. Branches of second order up to 17 cm long x 5 mm wide; third (penultimate) order 7 cm x 3-5 mm, attached at an angle of 35-45°; branches of fourth (ultimate) order 3 cm x 3 mm, attached at about 30°.
genus
Type species: Ugartecladus genoensis Archangelsky & Cuneo, 1987
Shoots branching at least up to fourth order; branches attached radially and irregularly at acute angles, straight to slightly curved, leafless or with helically disposed leaves. Leaves all of one kind, with a single vein, lanceolate, acute. Female cones compact, ovoid, terminal; composed of simple bracts and either free ovules or ovuliferous complexes, attached helically to cone axis. Presumed ovules or ovuliferous complexes subaxillary to bracts, subcircular; ovules orthotropous with a small and simple nucellar apex.
Female cones cylindrical, isolated, erect, terminal in position on ultimate branches, with spirally disposed bracts and in each of their axils one fan-like ovaliferous scale, which is most frequently deeply fivelobated in the upper expanded half, contracted to a sort of petiole in the lower one and bear 2-3 ovate seeds on the lower part of the expanded portion. Whether the scales are simple or not cannot be accurately determined. Seeds with a narrow membranous margin.
Female cones cylindrical, isolated, erect, terminal in position on ultimate branches, with probably spirally disposed, overlapping, fanlike scales, which are deeply trilobate in the upper expanded part and contracted at the base, here bearing one single seed (?). Whether the scales are simple or not cannot be accurately determined.
