diagnosis:

Branches of penultimate order up to 8 mm wide, their leaves 3.5 mm wide
and 12 mm long. Branches of last order up to 80 mm long, their leaves 1- 1.25
mm wide and 4-9 mm long, adpressed to axis or slightly diverging, lanceolate, with
apical mucro. Stomatal bands fused apically and grade upwards into papillose
band. Nonstomatal cells of stomatal band polygonal, variously orientated, more
or less papillose, among them rare papilligers and trichopodia occur. Cells of
axial and marginal stomata free bands as well as cells of lower epidermis
longitudinally elongated arranged into irregular files. 6-7 (5-8) subsidiary cells
with strongly cutinized radial and/or periclinal walls. Stomatal pit
round-polygonal overhung by papillae of proximal walls of subsidiary cells. Lower
leaf side bears below apex large trichopodium surrounded by files of shorter
cells.

Compound polysperms up to 70 mm long and up to 30 mm wide. Bracts up to
12 mm long and up to 3.5 mm wide. Axillary polysperms up to 7-8 mm long, their
basal flattened part 3-4 mm wide. Sterile scales decurrent in this part of
axillary polysperrn, their upper surface very short, margin with same micro
denticulation as in foliage leaves. Upper part of axillary complex bear s
adaxially 9-11 seed stalks with hooked backwards apices crowned by seed scars
accompanied by cuticular fold. Seed stalk bears rare stomata and solitary short
unicellular hairs. Apical and abaxial subapical sides of axillary compl ex bear
15- 20 erect funiculodia occasionally having variously und redeveloped seed
scars.

Microstrobili about 3 cm long and 8 mm wide. Microsporophylls numerous,
elbow-shaped, with distal lamina having same stomata as foliage leaves. Pollen
globose or folded and then boatshaped. Columellae-like bodies of sexine
arranged into polygonal network. Proximal side finely granulose, proximal slit
small, mono-, di- or trilete .
